The JXD 391 is regarded as one of the more ‘trusty’ drones in the market; the large size of the flier combined with the surprising stability make it a worthy addition to any drone collectors list.
Earlier today, a new version of the same drone went on sale for just a shade under $100. On the outside, the drone looks the same as the older gen JXD 391, but with an added ‘W’ at the end of the model number (now known as the JXD 391W), the drone features a video downlink that sends realtime video to a paired smart device. This could be a phone or a tablet, and both iOS as well as Android operating systems are supported.
The built-in 7.4V battery takes a good couple of hours to charge, but returns a flight time of about 8 minutes according to a listing. As usual, there’s LEDs on the chassis of the drone, which is also capable of doing flips. I’m not sure about it as yet, but I believe the JXD 391W can also carry a camera, perhaps something such as a GoPro or the Xiaomi Yi Camera.
The drone can be purchased for $99.11 here (as of 11th March 2015), with free shipping on offer.[ Source ]
