The LaTrax Alias quadcopter drone is quite a popular one. It seems like this popularity isn’t just restricted to consumers in the West, but also includes manufacturers from the Far East.
A new quadcopter drone — namely the BJ S2 — just went on sale in China with a design that resembles that of the Alias, but a price tag that is a lot prettier. It comes with a 650mAh battery, and according to the product listing, measures 34.5 x 34.5 x 6cm (with prop guards on).
The battery on the BJ S2 appears to be non-removable, although I’m not sure about that as yet. At $40 shipped, the BJ S2 does look like something beginners would want to experiment with, instead of something like the Hubsan X4.
I haven’t had my hands on the product yet, but from what it looks like in the photos, the BJ S2 should have a better build than other quadcopter drones in the entry-level space… perhaps a build like one of the UDI quadcopters.
