HiSKY’s HMX280 was found to be listed earlier today, and from what I’m hearing this baby can do speeds of over 100km/h. Now, that is pretty crazy, and it also means that the HMX280 is meant for pro pilots (sorry newbies).
At the time of writing this article, the HMX280 wasn’t in stock, but listed for $167 (RTF), which sounds far from a bad price.
The HiSKY SMX280 features the CC3D flight controller and has brushless motors, making it sound like a platform for racing and FPV (perhaps even both). All you need to do is provide a camera and an FPV system, and bam, you’re good to go.
The HMX280 comes with a 1350mAh battery rated a massive 11.1V, so there should be some crazy throttle on the quadcopter drone. I’m not completely sure what material it is made out of, but the speeds at which the HMX280 is going to fly, it better be durable.
The HiSKY HMX280 is another in the series of FPV and racing centric RTF drones; another one that comes to mind would be the Walkera Runner 250.
(Update: HMX280 now listed for a starting price of $92)
The HiSKY HMX280 is currently listed only on Banggood, more stores should follow suit.
