Yizhan’s Tarantula X6 quadcopter drone is quite popular in the aerial filming circuits thanks to the fact that it is among the cheapest quadcopter drones that can lift a GoPro.
This means that a lot of international buyers buy the Tarantula X6. However, the large size of the retail packaging was known to be a problem, which Yizhan seem to have fixed with the new update, after which the drone is known as the Yizhan Tarantula X6-1.
The older retail package measured 52.5 x 46.5 x 13 cm, while the updated packaging is only 31.5 x 35 x 10 cm. That is quite a reduction in size, and not only should it help save shipping costs, but also customs duties should be lower in some countries.
Another similar quadcopter drone happens to be the Syma X8C which I’m currently testing. The X8C is a little more expensive but a lot sturdier, and Syma is a better known name in general than Yizhan.
The Tarantula X6-1 has a 1200mAh (7.4) battery, which can do about 7 minutes of flight. You can purchase the Tarantula X6-1 from GearBest for $55 shipped worldwide, or take a look at other accessories for the quad here.
