We hardly see entry-level quadcopter drones with an ‘H’ design; most sold usually have the ‘X’ design. The new MJX X500 however, is an exception.
Interestingly, the X500 costs a mere $25, so you don’t have to worry about losing a lot of money if the aircraft isn’t to your taste.
Coming to the specifications of the MJX X500, it measures 32 x 32 x 8cm or 12.58 x 12.58 x 3.14 inches, and comes with a 750mAh battery which is pretty impressive for a $25 quadcopter.
You can also attach external (but compatible) cameras to the MJX X500, which can also serve the purpose of FPV (via WiFi to your phone, of course). Battery life on a single charge should be around 7 minutes, normal for an inexpensive quadcopter drone.
It also comes with headless mode (click here to know what it means) and one key return, two features which are fast becoming the standard for any quadcopter. The listing also goes on to mention that the X500’s controller has a range of 100 meters. If that is the case indeed, it is super impressive for a $25 flier.
In the box, you get the MJX X500, 4 x spare blades, one Screwdriver, and a USB cable to charge the quadcopter’s battery.
