The WLtoys V686 series (learn more about it here) is already quite a popular one. In fact, WLtoys’ sister company JJRC too has a V686, which is about equally popular. WLtoys has now launched the WLtoys Q222G which is basically a V686G but with a barometer.
The Q222G quadcopter comes with a 7.4G 1200mAh battery, which although will take quite a while to charge, will result in a decently long flight time.
Thanks to the added barometer, the Q222G can now list altitude hold mode in its repertoire, a feature not a lot of other budget quadcopters feature as of now (although that is all set to change by the end of this year).
There’s headless mode along with one key return that the WLtoys Q222G also features. As always, I am apprehensive about the efficacy of the one key return feature on quadcopter drones that don’t feature GPS modules.
FPV on the WLtoys Q222G is handled by a 5.8GHz transmission system and a camera that is capable of recording HD (1280 x 720p) video. It also comes with a bundled 4GB microSD card for you to store your video and pictures on.
The WLtoys Q222G is available for purchase, you can order one too.
