Those that have been in the quadcopter drone hobby for around a year or so will remember that the Hubsan X4 was at one point of time THE quadcopter for beginners and intermediates.
The factory has taken its own long time to come out with a new iteration, but it looks mighty fine to me. Let’s take a look… at the new Hubsan X4 Camera Plus H107C+ quadcopter!
What you’ll notice right off the bat is the size — the X4 Camera Plus H107C+ is pretty much the same size as the older-gem X4s. However, there’s a lot more in the same chassis now.
Most importantly, the quadcopter now has the much-needed altitude hold mode, which allows you to take smoother video without having to worry about adjusting the quadcopters altitude. If I’m not wrong, this is the first time that altitude hold mode has been introduced on a micro-sized quadcopter drone!
Moving on, another aspect where Hubsan seem to have given the X4 Camera Plus H107C+ an upgrade is the camera, which is now a fixed 720p sensor sitting at the nose of the quadcopter.
Blue LEDs on the front and red ones on the back make night flights possible on the Hubsan X4 Camera Plus. The design has undergone a change also; the aircraft looks very modern and sleek in its new avatar. As for the dimensions, it measures 110 x 92 x 35 mm (L x W x H).
The controller now seems to have faux leather on top of it, which might not be to everyone’s taste but yet is something that makes evident the fact that Hubsan no longer want to be seen as a cheap quadcopter brand. In all, as you can probably tell already, I’m fairly impressed with the Hubsan X4 Camera Plus H107C+… and can’t wait to get my hands on one.
