DJI’s been pretty aggressive with its pricing lately. After making the Phantom 3 series affordable, the leading consumer drone brand is offering its high-end DJI Inspire 1 at a discounted price.
The Inspire 1 will now be available for $1,999, down from the $3,000 launch price of the quadcopter drone.
The Inspire 1 is aimed at filmmakers and aerial photography enthusiasts. It comes with a 4K camera by default, mounted on a 3-axis gimbal. FPV is achieved by a LightBridge downlink, which transmits video in HD. Another rather cool feature of the Inspire 1 happens to be the retracting landing gear it features.
The $1,999 price tag, by the way, is for the DJI Inspire 1 v2.0 variant, which was earlier sold for $3,099.
