Drones are always fun, you begin from smaller ones and quickly go up in size. But after a while you also wonder how it would be to fly them in First Person View and that’s when you get want to get a drone like the ones listed here. Thus we made a list of the Top 10 cheap 5.8GHz FPV drones you can find on the market!
There’s various FPV platforms, but like we’ve explained in the 5.8GHz vs WiFi vs 2.4GHz FPV article, the first, i.e., 5.8GHz is the best platform for FPV.
Top 10 Cheap 5.8GHz FPV Drones!
#1 JJRC H29G
The first on our list is one of the cheapest in here, the JJRC H29G. The quadcopter features a 2.0MP camera which transmits its video stream to the transmitter and its screen with a range of 80-100 meters. The JJRC H29G is made of ABS and has a flight time of 8 minutes with the 3.7v 450mAh included battery.

The Cheerson CX-32S also sports a 2.0MP for photo and video recording, it then drops to 0.3MP for actual real-time video transmission. The quadcopter packs a relatively small 7.4v 360mAh battery and features, one-key take off, one-key landing. Plus it has a high density air pressure sensor which makes it hold the altitude.
#3 GTeng T901F
Third on this list we have the GTeng T901F, which distinguishes itself from the others for its spider looks, Guiteng indeed calls it “flying spider” on the box. The Guiteng T901F features a 720p FPV camera with a range of 150 meters at least. The included 3.7V 500mAh internal battery allows it to fly for about 6-8 minutes, while the transmitter wil be powered by the included 3.7V 450mAh for controls and video streaming.
#4 Eachine E40G
also on Banggood
The Eachine E40G comes with 4 coreless (beware, not brushless) and 720p live video feed. The quadcopter has an autonomy of around 8 minutes with the 3.7V 520mAh Lipo battery included. Both the FPV transmission and the transmitter itself have a range of 60-70 meters. The Eachine E40G is an interesting option for it’s light weight (71g) and small size, thus it can be flown indoor and outdoor.
Another quadcopter with an out of ordinary design is the MJX X906T, kind of an hamburger with four arms and propellers (or is that just me?). Its small size and the 380mAh battery gives a flight time of only about 6 minutes, pretty low. The control distance is also pretty flat at 50m. The MJX X906T’s FPV camera transmits HD video to the 2.31-inch LCD screen on the transmitter.
#6 JJRC H11D
With the JJRC H11D we get into the more serious stuff. The quadcopter indeed packs a 3.7V 1100mAh battery which give it an outstanding (for the class) 10 minutes of flight time. The camera has a resolution of 2MP and streams FPV video in HD, it can also be moved up and down. It can be controlled for up to 120 meters and there’s a 3D mode for the most adventurous people.
The MJX X909T X-Series is one the smallest on the list with a size of 7.6cm x 7.7cm x 4.1cm. Although super small, the battery has a capacity of 380mAh, which is more than some bigger quadcopter we’ve mentioned previously (6 mins of flight time).
The 5.8GHz FPV mode transmits HD video to the 2.31-inch monitor on the transmitter. The MJX X909T also features 3D flips and rolls, headless mode and one-key return functions.
#8 JXD 510G
The JXD 510G has a pretty short range at 60m maximum, the autonomy is little above average with a 600mAh battery and 8 minutes flight time. The quadcopter sports a 2.0MP HD camera, altitude mode through a high density air pressure sensor, headless mode and 3D flips. You can also read our JXD 510G review for more information.
#9 JXD 509G
Also the younger brother, i.e. JXD 509G, makes it on the list. It also packs a 600mAh but the advertised flight time rises to 10 minutes this time. The flying range stays the same at around 60m, though. As usual, we find a 2.0MP HD camera with 5.8Ghz real-time video transmission, altitude hold, one-key return and 3D flips functions.
As the name suggests, the Hubsan H111D Nano Q4 is a nano quadcopter and its dimensions are 6.8*6.8*2.5cm, with the insanely low weight of just 17.8g (including the battery). Due to that the battery is pretty small with a capacity of 180mAh, still the flight time is around 6 minutes, which is not too shabby.
The quadcopter has a pretty short 50 meters flight range, but given the tiny size you probably shouldn’t get that far anyway. The Hubsan H111D Nano Q4 can also transmit 720p FPV video to the big 4.3-inch LCD screen on the transmitter, really impressing for such a small drone.
