Drone racing is certainly inspiring more manufacturers to get on to the scene with better and cheaper options as time flies. We’ve seen a bunch of indoor FPV quadcopter drones such as the Tiny QX90, QX80 and more. The SPC90 and SPC90X drones are two such entrants that are currently available for under $100 each!

The two drones vary primarily in their design configuration and as the name suggests, the SPC90X is the popular X-configuration based drone. Both the drones are built on a 90mm wheelbase with a 3K carbon fiber frame.

The drones feature a F3 EVO brushed 2.0 flight controller that powers the 8520 coreless motors rated at 3.7V and 37000 no load rpm. The motors are mounted to a 55 mm props to help with huge thrusts necessary for racing drones.

The drones employ a 600TVL camera for the FPV feed, the signal is transmitted from a 5.8GHz 25mW 48CH transmitter. Both the drones also come with a 3.7V 600mAh 25C battery out of the box. This battery can keep the drone flying for roughly 5 to 6 minutes on a single charge.

The SPC90 and the SPC90X drones are available in 3 receiver options – DSM2 Satellite, FrSky SBUS PPM and FlySky PPM. So, be very careful about choosing the right version depending on the Transmitter that you own. You can buy the SPC90 from here and SPC90X here.

Both these indoor FPV drones seem like great options to fly around without having too much to worry about. Perhaps these two could be added to the list of the Tiny Whoop alternatives?
