The list of Tiny Whoop alternatives keeps going up almost everyday. With the holidays incoming, they to do make up for a good gift idea and lead to some crazy indoor FPV sessions. The X73 quadcopter is one such indoor FPV drone which seems to be very similar to (and possibly the OEM version of) the Eachine X73 aka Mini Whoop. The frame’s almost-ducted design and its larger 105x105mm dimension compared to the micro Tiny Whoop quads is probably the reason its termed as a ‘Mini Whoop’.

X73 FPV Drone

This is a Bind and Fly drone and comes with an integrated FrSky 8CH SBUS receiver. So you’ll need to pair it with a compatible transmitter of your own and also connect a 1s 25C LiPO battery (350mAh recommended) to start flying.

X73 FPV Drone Pricing and Photos

The X73 uses a 600TVL HD (1280 x 960p) camera for the FPV feed paired with a 5.8GHz 32CH 25mW transmitter. A NAZE32 6DOF brushed flight controller is responsible for keeping the drone steady by controlling the 7016 coreless motors.

The drone is rated to last for 5 minutes with the recommended 350mAh battery. The product doesn’t mention anything about the control range sadly, but it should be capable of taking signals anywhere between 200-300 metres depending on your radio.

The X73 is currently being sold for around $73 and you can get one from here.
