MJX Bugs 3 B3

MJX recently announced the MJX Bugs 3 (or B3) brushless drone. The quadcopter comes with four powerful brushless motors (1806 1800kv motors) and a camera cage with vibration dampening to place your favorite action camera and record aerial footage.

The MJX Bugs 3 features a control range of about 300-500 meters and an incredibly long flight time of about 20 minutes (according to the manufacturer), which is a lot for a drone with these characteristics. In real life situations, 18 minutes is what you can expect from this.

The MJX Bugs 3 (B3) is powered by a two cell 7.4V 1800mAh battery, and along with that it has a shock resistant body and separate ESCs with motor lock and over temperature protection.

MJX Bugs 3 B3: Specifications

Here are the basic specifications of the Bugs 3 brushless drone according to the manufacturer.

  • Brand: MJX
  • Model: B3 Bugs 3
  • Motor Type: Brushless Motor
  • Diagonal Length: 310mm
  • Built-in Gyro: Yes
  • Night Flight: Yes
  • Material: Electronic Components, Nylon
  • Kit Types: RTF

What’s also cool about this quadcopter is that it features a two-way communication which allows the transmitter to sound an alarm when the battery on the quadcopter reaches low levels.

MJX Bugs 3 B3: Pricing and Photos

The MJX Bugs 3 was initially announced for a price around $120, but reseller stores have since given in to competition and are now offering the drone for lesser.

For instance, you can purchase it here for a mere $89 (which is an insane price to pay for a brushless drone) while the promo is still on (they had 21 units left at the time of publishing).

I think it’s absolutely fantastic how brushless quadcopters are getting cheaper each month. First it was the XK X251 that blew everyone’s minds, and now, the MJX Bugs 3. Looks like 2017’s going to be the year when brushless motors become the de facto standard on budget quadcopter drones!
