DJI has left us a bit disappointed in their last appearance at CES 2018 this year as all we’ve got is a new DJI Osmo Mobile 2 smartphone stabilizer and the DJI Roning-S which is instead used to get steady footage on your DSLR. What we didn’t get is new drones, but according to some reports, that might not last long.

DJI Set to Announce New Drones on January 23rd

Drones news site DroneDJ have indeed received invites to a DJI event that will take place in New York City on January 23rd. The invite did not specifically talk about drones but it came with the slogan “Adventure Unfolds”, which gives us an hint – we might see another foldable drone! Whether we’re talking about a completely new drone or a 2nd generation DJI Mavic Pro is hard to tell, but we’re definitely hyped for it.

Also according to DroneDJ, the invite shows two swooping lines, which could mean we’ll see either a very unique new aircraft or a more aerodynamic version of a drone we already know.

Luckily for us, January 23rd is less than two weeks away, so we won’t have to wait too long for the unveiling.
