If you love smartphones, technology and don’t live under a rock, then you’ll be aware of the existence of Xiaomi, a Chinese tech giant that started up with phones and now sells all kinds of gadgets, including drones. Today we indeed check out their latest entry in the quadcopters world, under the sub-brand MiTU. As you may have read in the title, the device is called Xiaomi MiTU Drone.
The Xiaomi MiTU drone is one of the smallest the Chinese comany has ever launched with a dimension of 91 X 91 X 38mm. and 88 grams of weight. The body of the drone is made of Polypropylene (PP) plastic, which resists drops, but there are also glass fibre-made propeller blades that should improve durability as well.
As far as camera goes, the MiTU drone is equipped with an HD camera that is able to record high definition videos as well as snapping photos at 1600 x 1200 resolution.
Sensors wise, we find a barometer, optical flow sensor and an ultrasonic sensor, which help enable features such as precision hovering. The drone then comes with modes such as headless mode, gravity sensing, palm take off, and four-way rolling.
That’s not all though, the MiTu drone is also equipped with a quad-core 1.2GHz SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and a 5.8GHz high-frequency Wi-Fi module. Finally, the MiTU packs a 920mAh battery that can last for around 10 minutes of flying.
