After successfully winning the world over with super affordable micro and nano quadcopters, Chinese toy makers seem to have shifted their focus to nano hexacopters. We’ve seen quite a few in the past, including the MJX X900/X901 (read more here), JJRC H20 (read more here), etc.
The newest aircraft in the nano hexacopter space is the Helicute M803R. Must say, the makers ought to have spent time in coming up with that name!
The Helicute M803R costs just $20, which makes every nano hexacopter drone priced pretty much the same in the $20-22 range.
The hexacopter has a 250mAh battery, which is claimed to do flights of up to 5 minutes. That’s what nano quadcopters achieve with 100mAh batteries; very clearly, the addition of two more blades (and their weight) takes a toll. But you’re rewarded with additional stability at that expense.
13.2 x 13.2 x 2.5cm is what the hexacopter measures according to the listing, with the overall package dimensions being: 23 x 15.2 x 6.6cm.
