MJX X300C does WiFi FPV and headless flights for $60

mjx x300c 5_result-2MJX may not be the most popular name on the quadcopter drone market, but the company’s latest product, i.e., the MJX X300C is certainly worth taking a look at.

The X300C is a $63 worth quadcopter drone, which comes with FPV and the much talked about headless mode. If you aren’t aware of what headless mode means, take a look at my explanation of the feature here. Before you get too excited, let me also tell you that FPV on the MJX X300C is via a 2.4GHz WiFi downlink; no FPV monitor is provided, so you do need to have a smartphone/tablet to view the feed.

Unfortunately, it isn’t clear at what resolution the camera takes its pictures. It only says there’s a ‘high definition’ camera. What is cool though about the MJX X300C is that the controller can switch between mode 1 (right hand throttle) and mode 2 (left hand throttle).

Unlike other micro quadcopter drones on the market, this one doesn’t borrow it’s styling from the Hubsan X4… instead, it has a cool UFO sort of a look to it. It comes with core-less motors, so performance should be decent. Other specifications of the MJX X300C include a 750mAh battery (that takes 1.5hrs to charge and returns 10min of flight time), 102g weight, and a control range of about 100 meters, in line with other entry-level quadcopter drones.

This does look like a better option than the WLtoys V686K which was announced a few weeks back. The MJX X300C can be bought from CooliCool for $63 shipped.
